Who are we?

Pleased to meet you, we, Yozma Derech Halev (initiative from the heart), are an organization aiming to bring together knowledge and expertise seeking to achieve a change in the social – economic statues of people dealing with psychological, physical or sensory disabilities. We seek to achieve this goal by making their voice heard and promoting their integration back to the community, as active, earning and influential participants.

 

The organization operates projects, unique plans and innovative processes in the field of employment and occupational rehabilitation, which are suited to the needs of its clients, while fulfilling the uniqueness of each of them. “Yozma Derech Halev” works in collaboration with and through the financing of the community rehabilitation and the mental health department at  the Ministry of Health, and  the Defense Ministry.

 

Yozma Derech Halev services are  provided to People who are dealing with psychological, physical or sensory disabilities  who wish to make use of the programs offered by “Yozma Derech Halev” and enter the work market as Business owners or as employees in the field of rehabilitation and therapy or in any other field – through their rehabilitation benefits (Sal Shikum) provided by the Ministry of Health / The Defense Ministry or as a private service.

  

Our staff

Our organization employs over 100 dedicated employees, 30% of which cope with psychological, physical or sensory disabilities. our staff members work as equals and are full partners and contributors to the processes of improving and developing the various programs and services offered by the organization.

Our employees, with knowledge from experience, bring added value to the organization, help improve our services and better understand the need of our clients, and thereby continually adapt and improve the offered services.

Our programs:

Yozma Derech Halev operates unique programs throughout the country

“Tzarchanim Notney Sherut” (Consumers as Providers)– is a unique program which aims at integrating people with lived experience (knowledge from personal experience) as rehabilitation workers in rehabilitation therapy and care services. The program offers a service of an occupational rehabilitation process which is spread throughout the country.

The process is aiming to support, promote and enable the successful integration of people with lived experience in the work market as equal employees, in a variety of roles: mentors, rehabilitation instructors, employment guides, care coordinators, group leaders and many more. In addition, the program offers a counselling service for managers and for teams looking to hire people with lived experience.

 

“Yozma” (initiative) – a program aiming to develop an employment independence for people dealing with psychological, physical or sensory disabilities, who are interested in looking into new occupational horizons, possibilities, skills and aspirations. These individuals choose to establish and develop businesses and become fully active, wage earning and contributing business owners in their community. “Yozma” provides them with a guiding and supporting services, rehabilitative training and business mentoring in a number of tracks.
